Seaside Hotel

The summer of 1941. The German occupying power has commandeered the neighbouring hotel but that does not keep the regular guests away. As Edward Weyse says: If we pretend they are not there, then they are not there.

Lieutenant Kiessling helps Amanda once more when he gets the German barricade moved down the beach. However, he has a small request in return.

Actor Weyse has finally found just the right person to write his memoirs, his ex-wife Fanny Fjord, who is also a well-known journalist. However, sometimes you get more help than you asked for.

Merchant Madsen feels complicit in the young German soldier’s desertion, but it won't be the last time their paths meet.

When a German sea mine is washed ashore near the hotel, it becomes the beginning of a dramatic end to the guests’ holiday. Weyse falls subject to an unreasonable accusation of having taken a political stand.
