Small Time Gangster

Looking forward to a quiet Christmas at home with his family, Tony suddenly receives a text message from work telling him he has a job to do. Hopes of the quiet Christmas fade, especially when he finds out that the job involves his good friend Artie.

Tony is saddled with a new apprentice, Gary's wide-eyed rookie son Charlie, and must show him the ropes as they try to take down a sleazy porn dealer. However, still distracted and disturbed by visions of Artie's bloody demise, Tony has seriously lost his nerve and has trouble following through on the job.

Collecting from a low-life client, Tony's nerves desert him again, leading to an unwise confession. Meanwhile, Cathy's friendship with Brent takes a new turn when he shows up at a family BBQ.

Suspicious, Cathy follows Tony and finds him with Darlene - the underworld middleman between the boys on the street and their boss, Barry Donald. Trying to calm her, Tony confesses he's been keeping a secret - he's an enforcer for a criminal gang. Cathy is stunned, but thinks Tony is lying until he's forced to take her on a job with explosive consequences.

Trying to cope on her own, Cathy and the kids get an unwelcome visitor. Meanwhile, Tony employs an unusual tactic to extract payment from a client and enjoys a racy night out with Darlene and Steve.

When Tony wants "out," Les decides to take matters into his own hands, despite the consequences. Meanwhile, Mel and Charlie rekindle their romance, while Tony's temper erupts at Matt's soccer match.

Under pressure from Barry to deliver monies owed, Tony, Darlene and Steve accept a dangerous job. But with tension mounting, can Darlene and Steve be trusted or is Tony walking into a trap? Meanwhile, Mel and Charlie have a secret that will bring the two families together.
