The Yorkshire Vet

Peter heads out into England's green and pleasant land of Yorkshire once more. He faces a difficult lambing at an old friend's farm - the baby's legs are hanging out and it's in a nightmare position.

Peter rushes to help a three-hour old foal called Elvis whose life is in danger because he can't feed from his mum. Julian meets a very special therapy sheep with an ear problem. When a young French bulldog becomes suddenly paralysed, she requires complex spinal surgery at the animal hospital.

Love is in the Yorkshire air as Julian and alpaca farmer Jacki look for the perfect match to create some crias. David rushes to a 5am lambing at a farm where two farmers found romance on a rural dating site.

There's a dramatic emergency for Rohin, as a newborn lamb is rushed to the hospital with his insides out. Can he defy the odds and save the baby? When an elderly cattle breeder can no longer keep her last two Highland cows, Peter does all he can to help.

Peter knows a life is very much hanging in the balance, as a farmer rushes his ewe to the practice with her lamb stuck mid delivery. For Matt, it's the 'closest to James Bond he's ever getting as a vet' when he takes aim to dart antibiotics into a poorly, young rare deer.

An emaciated sheep is rushed to the Huddersfield hospital after being abandoned outside a local rescue centre. And Matt suspects there might be two lives at stake, as he scans the ewe to see if she's pregnant. A Labrador puppy's painful hip injury means she can no longer enjoy playing with her younger brother.

Shona hits the fast lane to the farm in the middle of the motorway, where a ewe is struggling to give birth. At the farm where she learnt her lambing skills, she suspects emergency surgery will be needed.

When an alpaca called Roxette badly injures herself, a visit to Cannon Hall Farm is no joyride for David. But he thinks he can help, and also wants to find out if she's pregnant.

There's an unusual visitor to the Thirsk practice - a vulture called Vinnie, who isn't strutting his stuff like a vulture should because of leg problems. Shona and David team up to deliver a calf by caesarean. And Julian operates on his friend Chris Jeffery's naughty dog, Timmy.

Peter has an embarrassing equipment malfunction at the Greens' farm, and Jean isn't happy! Julian performs emergency surgery on a very poorly spaniel, whose owners have noticed that a family-sized tub of chocolates is suddenly empty.

Shona rushes to an emergency calving, and suspects a caesarean might be the only way to save mum and baby. Peter operates on a much loved sheep dog who's broken his leg while working. While Julian meets some sheep who have jobs of their own, as he's introduced to sheep therapy!
