A man is shot while a woman anxiously waits at the altar for her groom to appear. Years earlier, In Ha is attending school and a teacher severely slaps him.

In Ha goes to free a friend that is being held captive in the warehouse. Both In Ha and Jung Won are arrested and taken away after a man dies.

In Ha is sent to prison for the crimes of arson and homicide. Soo Yeon joins a convent to become a nun but realizes this is not the right choice for her life.

Soo Yeon begins to work in a casino after her choice to leave the convent. Upon his release from prison, In Ha searches for Soo Yeon but does not succeed in finding her.

In Ha is surprised to discover Soo Yeon is working at a casino. In Ha meets with his friend Jung Goo and they catch up on events in their lives.

In Ha and his friend are forced to flee after becoming involved in a fight. At the casino, In Ha is given the job of pit boss and now works with Soo Yeon.

In Ha is very upset to hear news concerning Dae Soo and his Jeju Island visit. Soo Yeon’s roommate gets promoted to director but the decision surprises everyone in the group.

An old acquaintance makes an offer to In Ha with the goal of getting involved in a new project. Chairman Choi is asked to give up on his dream of the casino.

In Ha takes part in an illegal card game but one of the players is found dead. Soo Yeon is left to wonder where In Ha has gone and why he left without speaking to her first.

In Ha is very upset with his current situation after a phone call to Soo Yeon. Later, In Ha meets up with an unexpected ally while working at a service station.

Jung Won upsets his associate by revealing that In Ha is trying to avoid the police. Director Han suddenly becomes ill while taking part in a meeting for the casino project.

Chairman Choi’s family discusses the upcoming project as well as the opportunities that come with it. In Ha sees Soo Yeon and thinks back to their time together as she walks by him.

Jung Won and others involved with the casino come to the decision that business dealings will be kept quiet. Rival gangs have a shoot out at the warehouse with destructive consequences.

News comes to light about Falcone and his connection to the mafia as well as deaths that have occured. After being hospitalized for 8 months, In Ha calls out for Soo Yeon from his bed.

Jung Won discovers that In Ha is alive during a phone call. A gang makes the decision to murder Tae Joon as a way of removing him from their plans.

In Ha plays in a high stakes Las Vegas poker game and wins. Chairman Choi ends any chance of a partnership but Jung Won must deliver the news for him.

Jung Won declares his feelings for Soo Yeon but she does not feel the same way about him. In Ha turns down the advances of an associate who is interested in pursuing a relatioship.

Chairman Choi is approached about a development project on Jeju Island and the benefits could bring him. In Ha visits a wounded policeman in the hospital and asks questions.

Soo Yeon receives a gift that causes her to think about the past. Yoo Jung Ku is recognized by people in the casino and a fight occurs as he tries to get away.

Soo Yeon sees someone in the crowd at the volcano show but she cannot find him after leaving the stage. Soo Yeon does not want to marry Jung Won after suggestions of an arranged marriage.

Chairman Choi visits a senator to ask for his help with the current project. Jimmy Kim calls Soo Yeon while she is in a meeting and they arrange to see each other later.

Soo Yeon tells Jung Won that she wants them to remain friends. The congressman wants to set a date for the marriage of his daughter and Jung Won but Jung Won’s father feels pressure from a business deal.

Dae Soo is stabbed in the street while leaving the wedding with his bride. In Ha is upset because a business deal fails to go as planned due to unethical dealings.

In Ha tries to protect Soo Yeon from a threat against those he cares about. Jung Won confesses to Soo Yeon about knowing In Ha’s whereabouts when he was gone but failing to reveal them because of selfish reasons.
