The Past Is Yet To Come

Tamara Eroshina is a high school graduate from a small town. She dreams about moving to Moscow and became a doctor. Unfortunately, the town major's son Sergey Luparev wants to marry her. After the graduation party he forces her to visit his country house, throw her some sedatives and rapes her. Tamara went to hospital.

The town major finds out about this and visits Tamara's parents. He offers them to marry their kids. Tamara doesn't want to, but the parents force her. Her married life with Sergey is not going well. His brother Kirill, a wheelchair user since childhood, likes her. Marushev, a businessman from Moscow, wants to purchase the land in the town, which is in property of former military Astakhov.

Sergey and Tamara have a big fight. Tamara broke a vase over his head and runs off the house. Kirill wants to revenge against his brother and brings a knife. He makes everything looks like Tamara killed her husband. She is wanted for arrest. The woman watches a TV report about it, changes her appearance and buys a ticket to Moscow. At a bus station, she meets Polina who came back from Italy.

Polina tells that she came back for her daughter. Their bus to Moscow gets into an accident. A rescue team reports that there is only two person alive, and they are in the nearest hospital. There are inspections in Astakhov's offices. His accountant Rita is kidnapped. Tamara regains consciousness and tries to get out of the hospital.

Tamara tells to a police investigator that does not remember her name. Astakhov watches TV report from the hospital and comes there. He says that Tamara is his daughter-in-law Polina and secretly takes her to his house. Rita is under kidnappers' pressure. Kirill's stepmother threatens to kill him.

Tamara tries to run off Astakhov's house but fails. Astakhov's granddaughter tells that Tamara is not her mother. He offers a deal: while Tamara is under investigation, she plays his daughter-in-law. Astakhov gets an unknown call. Someone offers him $10000 as a ransom for Rita.

Tamara's mother is sure that she is alive. Kirill's stepmother Galina tells her husband that she want to die. Astakhov is going to meet the kidnappers to bring them money. His friends persuade him to send Timur to the meeting instead of him. Timur came under fire. The kidnappers leave a hint.

Galina drinks too much. Maria tells Tamara about Polina's behaviors. Astakhov sends Tamara to search Rita. On the grave of Sergey, Kirill and Galina have a fight. Kirill asks his father to send him to a nursing home because the stepmother wants to kill him. Astakhov decides to breach Lugovets's restaurant to rescue Rita.

Astakhov finds Rita. She refuses to testify for him. Kirill brings to the stepmother's apartments an alcohol. Masha and Tamara have a pillow talk. Tamara promises never to abandon her. They get into Chlebnikov's car, but Lugovets's men intercept them and take them to an unknown destination.

The kidnappers brought Masha and Tamara to a country house. Masha feels bad. Tamara asks to bring a medical kit. She prepares a sedative solution and stucks a syringe in the kidnapper's neck. She forces Masha to run off, but Masha gets caught. Lugovets promises to return Masha and Tamara to Astakhov if he gives the land to Marushev.

The kidnappers want to kill Masha and Tamara. Kirill makes an accident to his stepmother, she falls out of the window. After that, he caught his father about killing himself. Astakhov and Tamara fell in love with each other. Astakhov wins the court.

Tamara is forced to run off the house. She writes to Astakhov that she loves him and Masha. She is recognized by a policeman and arrested. Luparev is dead by the accident. Osipov blackmails Kirill with the video of Kirill killing his brother. They have a fight. The video that proves Tamara's innocence is found. Tamara's parents find out that she is alive.
