Liz Sandler joins her new high school's audiovisual club where she embarks on a mission to create a full-fledged news studio, but their first broadcast does not at all go as planned.

After an embarrassing photo of Liz makes the school paper, she is forced to avoid the spotlight, but Becca believes she is trying to steal her thunder. When Cassie fails to meet the Editor-in-Chief's standards she decides to interview Rob.

A fine levied against Cassie puts the drama club at risk of being shuttered, so she and Liz attempt to solicit donations before Becca suggests they broadcast a school talent show to raise the money they need to help Cassie pay the fine.

An exchange student named Rebecca comes to Sunnybrook and quickly raises the original Becca's ire, as she thinks she will be replaced as the most popular girl in the school. Cassie and Tyler have an opportunity to help Rex save the paper.

Cassie stages a protest that winds up getting she, Liz, and Nathan sent to detention where Principal Pebblesworth has a full day planned for them. Left alone to run T.J.I., Rob, Rex, and Becca direct a new version of the show.

When Rob becomes the target of a bully, Liz attempts to get him to face his fear, but instead he calls in The Big Dog who puts Rub on an intense training regimen.

Liz decides to play matchmaker by creating a special Valentine's Day edition of T.J.I. to help people find their soulmate. Meanwhile, Becca and Tyler break up, compelling Tyler to take a vow of silence.

While Liz's parents are away for the evening to attend a rock concert with grandpa, she and Joe decide to throw a party for a few friends that quickly turns into an epic mess.

Principal Pebblesworth warns the students of an evil curse that haunts Sunnybrook High. Then a mysterious culprit destroys the T.J.I. set. The question is- who is responsible? Rob and Joe compete to collect the most trick-or-treat candy.

When a thunderstorm knocks out the power at Sunnybrook High the janitor appears with a ghost story to share. Soon things turn spooky prompting Rex to take off and hide. Rob and Becca discover the school's creepy basement searching for Joe.

It may be the holiday season, but finals are looming over everyone's heads. If that were not enough, Liz is forced to host a T.J.I. holiday special on her own, but when the day of the special broadcast finally arrives, Liz oversleeps.

Liz is late to school for the first time ever and it happens to be on the morning of the holiday broadcast. What's more, she does not show up in any sort of condition to host the special. No matter, the rest of gang soon appear to assist.

To lighten the load on a geography project for school Liz decides to throw an old school slumber party for the girls that includes some unexpected guests, a first date with Austin, and unfortunately, hurt feelings for one individual.

Cassie's play is set to premiere during T.J.I., when the star actor suddenly goes missing. The rest of the gang steps in to help, with hilarious results.

After being thrown into the election ring by Liz, Abby runs against Becca for student class president, and to attempt to win, Becca charms Rex into running a mud-slinging campaign against Abby.

For Career Exploration Day everyone is encouraged to dress for the career path they would like to pursue. Meanwhile, Tyler is accepted into a foreign exchange program abroad, sending Becca into a major tailspin.

Becca and Cassie have a difference of opinion on what should be the official school mascot. Meanwhile, Liz is a victim of a prank that ends up getting her sent to detention, and while in detention she discovers the person responsible.

There is a big math test and Rex has stolen Mr. Weber's answers to the test, causing Liz, Cassie, and Rex to argue about whether they should cheat. Liz has a better idea. Meanwhile, Becca sinks into crisis mode with a crater of a zit.

For the Step Forward Awareness Drive the students are each assigned a charity to compete for the honor of being the top fundraiser, with the winner promised one of two amazing prizes. The outcome surprises everyone.

With her mother out of town, Liz fears it will be the worst Thanksgiving ever, and plans to have Chinese takeout as their meal does not improve her outlook. Upon learning of Liz's situation Cassie organizes a potluck, hold the 'luck.'
