At a Mexican ranch, fugitive O'Malley and Sheriff Stribling, who is in pursuit, agree to assist rancher Breckenridge in driving his cattle to Texas, where Stribling can legally apprehend O'Malley. However, the situation becomes complicated by Breckenridge's wife.
