Landscape Artist of the Year

Stephen Mangan is back with a brand-new series of Landscape Artist of the Year, on the hunt for Britain's best landscape artist. He's off to the Lake District, where eight artists are looking out over beautiful Derwentwater. The winner of this heat will go through to the semi-final and be one step closer to claiming the prize, a 10,000 pound commission for the National Gallery of Ireland.

In the fifth heat, with no pods to protect them, the artists have climbed aboard second world war ship HMS Wellington on the River Thames. They're all hoping to create an artwork that catches the eye of judges Tai Shan Schierenberg, Kathleen Soriano and new judge Eva Langret.

Stephen Mangan presents the semi-final of Landscape Artist of the Year at the historic Ouse Valley Viaduct in Sussex. Taking part are the winners of all six heats, together with the winner of the wildcard competition and one lucky runner up from the heats. They're fighting it out under the watchful eye of judges Tai Shan Schierenberg, Kathleen Soriano and new judge Eva Langret.

Stephen Mangan hosts the grand finale of Landscape Artist of the Year. Just three artists have made it through to the last round of the competition, which this year is held at the engineering marvel the Falkirk Wheel. They'll be painting under the watchful eye of judges Tai Shan Schierenberg, Kathleen Soriano, and new judge Eva Langret.

We join the winner of this year's Sky Arts Landscape Artist of The Year as they travel to County Mayo to research their 10,000 pound prize commission. Their task is to create a landscape of Ireland's 'holy mountain' Croagh Patrick. They'll meet members of the community living in the shadow of the mountain, for whom it provides both a creative and a spiritual inspiration.
