King of the Con

Barry Minkow, a Jewish kid from Los Angeles, has dreams to strike it big. The teenager takes matters into his own hands and launches ZZZZ Best, a carpet cleaning company. As ZZZZ Best prepares to go public, Barry’s world turns upside down.

Barry finds Jesus and becomes a Christian, dedicating his life to redemption. He can’t avoid the limelight or addiction to wealth, but this time, Barry plans to do it above board -- or so it seems. Once a con man, always a con man.

After his latest fraud blows up, Barry and his family flee California and the church. As his world spirals out of control, he once again finds grounding through God. Though, for those close to him, Barry’s story seems far from over.
