Rough Diamond

Des and his son Phil are trying to build a new life by the Mediterranean Sea but their serenity is disturbed when all of a sudden they are surrounded by police. It seems they have been caught and Des' disguise as 'Major John Robie' has failed.

Des is recruited by former Intelligence Agent Kate Rochdale to carry out a scam aimed at obtaining Russian gold worth a staggering 8 million pounds. Kate is an attractive sophisticated woman. Des works with her and her partner Sergey.

Des attends the funeral of his old friend Bobby. Bobby's mother Violet is distressed and grief stricken over his death and Bobby's brother Barry reveals to Des that his brother died from stress.
