The third film in Frank Capra's acclaimed "Why We Fight" documentary series, "Divide and Conquer" begins just after the successful German assault on Poland. It then details the Nazi Blitzkrieg - the mechanized "Lightning War" that allowed the Wehrmacht to quickly overrun Denmark, Norway, Belgium and the Netherlands. The film ends with Adolf Hitler's triumph: the French surrender in June of 1940.
