A man by the name of Mr. Minton hires Nick to locate his brother, Stuart, because their mother is dying. When Nick finds him, Stuart claims that he has no brother and his mother is already dead, leading Nick to discover that he was a member of the witness protection program and Mr. Milton is a hit man sent to take care of him.

A businessman is opening a casino with his shady partners. Sylvie falls in love with him and leaves her detective partnership behind to work for him.

A meek owner of a diamond and jewelry company hires Nick and Sylvie to find out if his hot, unhappy, and flirty wife is having an affair. Nick and Sylvie track her down only to witness her being murdered by her angry lover.

Ian, the owner of the small popular local beach bar Tropical Heat, and a close personal friend of Nick's, convinces Nick to help a pretty woman with amnesia who he just met. The more they find out about her past, the less she wants to remember it.

Ian's old girlfriend and former band mate shows up out of nowhere. She claims she needs money, so she wants him to sell the rights to their band's hit songs. Nick, however, grows suspicious that there might be something she's not telling him.

A strange woman hires Nick to stop her husband, who she believes is out to murder her. However, Nick's investigation reveals evidence that leads him to believe she might be more psychotic than paranoid.
