Witness to a Massacre: Nanjing 1937

On December 13th, 1937, the Imperial Japanese Army attacked and occupied Nanjing, the capital city of the Republic of China. It became one of the most notorious events of the 20th century: The Rape of Nanjing. It was an army out of control creating an absolutely devastating scene. New discoveries are revealing what happened amidst the horror.

At huge personal risk, brave men smuggled firsthand evidence out of the city, to show the world the terror that had been brought to Nanjing. It's hard to believe the bravery displayed, despite the lack of any personal gain. They took it to the highest powers, and their evidence ultimately helped convict the perpetrators.
