A college student, William, is killed in a car crash outside the home of his director of studies Stephen. His fiancee Anna, an Austrian student, survives the accident. She gets help from Stephen at his house, but he thinks she caused this accident while she was driving. However, he did not say a word to the police. Scenes from the recent past come to the surface.
