Paula's Home Cooking

Paula travels a lot, but she always finds herself coming back to the low country. She'll start off a Shore Is Good Seafood Dip and then cook a Quick Crab Stew that will go perfectly with the dirty rice she's making. To end it, Paula's making a cookie that's not cooked - Low Country Cookies are going to complete this meal, so save room for dessert!

Paula's gon' bananas and wait till you see the sweet and savory dishes Paula's got up her sleeves. First off are some bananas with a twist, with Curry Crusted Bananas. Then she's turning some sweet bananas into a savory Cheesy Ham and Banana Casserole. Finally, watch as Paula tops things off with a Fried Peanut Butter and Banana Sandwich that is so rich and sweet!

Paula's taking us back to the roots of Southern cuisine. First, is one of the most important meals in the South as Paula's makes a Grits Pie. Next, Chef Clayton Sherrod joins Paula to cook and talk about the roots of southern cooking and share one of his favorite traditional recipes--Braised Turkey Shanks. Finally, Paula makes her Spicy Black Eyed Peas

This might sound surprising, but today Paula's making salad! These are not your typical boring lettuce salads, but an Oriental Chicken Salad, a Sweet and Sour Bean Salad, Broccoli Salad and a Couscous salad. Watch as Paula makes some fabulous salads that are sure to be a hit at your next summer outing.

It's off to meet Mr. Jimmy at his boyhood home where he reminisces with Paula and talks about some of his favorite childhood memories and treats. Today Paula's brushing up on her Spanish and heading south of the border with a Mexican Fiesta. Paula's gonna kick things off right with her Spicy Chicken Empanadas. Then she's gonna let you in on another delicious recipe: Tay's Hot and Spicy Salsa. For a sweet ending Mexican style, Churros. So join Paula as she spices things up!

Paula loves a picnic! She's servin' up her own sunshine with fresh and creamy Santa Fe Wraps and a side of crunchy Broccoli Slaw. To top it all off, she'll brighten up the day with Gooey Butter Cookies.

Today Paula's having a girl's night in with a bunch of fun snacks to munch on while the ladies catch up on the juicy gossip. First she's making Phyllo Wrapped Asparagus and Tomato Canapes, and a spicy curry dip to go with them. Of course, it's not ladies night without chocolate, so she's also serving up a Molten Lava Cake that's as steaming hot as Georgia asphalt!

Paula's devoting this entire episode to those sweet endings. First, she's makin' a sinful Raspberry Sherry Trifle with layers of fruit and custard and cream. Then Paula's putting a twist on the eclair - it's an Eclair Cake! Just in case that's not rich enough, a Peanut Butter and Cheese Fudge will hit your sweet spot. So get ready to indulge cause there's about to be a sugary buffet comin' today!

Today, Paula's gonna jazz it up with some of her all time Cajun favorites. First, she's cookin' up authentic New Orleans Jambalaya with all the southern flavors like shrimp, smoked sausage and don't forget the spices! Then she's gonna heat things up with some ragin' Cajun Seafood Balls. And even the dessert is on fire, with an old classic Bananas Foster.

Today Paula's servin' breakfast in bed. She'll start off with a sinfully delicious Spicy Cinnamon Cake--Then she's rollin' up a buttery Spinach Gruyere Puff Pastries that's just gonna melt in your mouth. Last but not least, Paula's heatin' up the oven and making Dutch Apple Pancakes that are so sweet and rich, y'all will think you're eatin' dessert for breakfast.

It's Jaime and Brooke's first wedding anniversary! She's making some of their favorite finger foods! First is one of Brookes' favorites--Deviled Eggs, stuffed with shrimp and goat cheese. In the oven, Paula's cookin' up savory Mini Onion Quiches are so good you'll be eating them by the tray! Then she's gonna freshen the palatte with an Asian Chicken Orzo Salad!

Today the family's coming together to grill up a BBQ Bonanza! First up, Paula's making a succulent Barbecue Pork Roast that's so tender it'll just melt in your mouth. Then she's got something extra special she's baking into the Mexican Corn bread to make it just right. To finish up this meal, Bobby and Jaime fry up the crispiest, most delicious Canned Biscuit Donuts!
