Adam Winfeld è un giovane militare di stanza a Kabul. Il plotone a cui è assegnato ha lo scopo di individuare cellule terroristiche. Al suo arrivo viene accolto dal Sergente Deeks il cui unico scopo è uccidere e abusare delle popolazioni locali. Indeciso se denunciare la cosa oppure lasciarsi attrarre da questa personalità tanto mefistofelica quanto affascinante, Adam si trova davanti ad un bivio.
