Abraham and Isaac is an emotion-filled story of complete obedience and unreserved sacrifice. This heart-rending story is one of the greatest tests of obedience, faith and trust in God found anywhere in the Bible. Abraham passes the test and renews God's promise that he will become the father of many nations.

The parable of the Good Samaritan is a parable told by Jesus in the Gospel of Luke. It is about a traveller who is stripped of clothing, beaten, and left half dead alongside the road. Finally, a Samaritan happens upon the traveller. Samaritans and Jews despised each other, but the Samaritan helps the injured man.

While Jesus was staying at a house in Capernaum, a group of men tried to bring a paralyzed man to Jesus so that Jesus would heal him. But, there was a large crowd inside and outside of the house, so the men had to find a creative way to get the paralyzed man to Jesus. The men succeeded and Jesus miraculously healed the man.

Samson, the hero of the Israelites, wins the hand of a Philistine woman, Semadar. When she is killed during a conflict on her wedding night, however, Samson becomes a hunted man whom the Philistines, including Semadar's sister, Delilah, want to punish. This becomes complicated, however, when Samson suddenly acquires God-given superpowers and Delilah's true feelings for Samson surface.

In the Genesis account, God reveals to Abraham that Sodom and Gomorrah are to be destroyed for their grave sins (18:20). Abraham pleads for the lives of any righteous people living there, especially the lives of his nephew, Lot, and his family.
