The Vicar of Dibley

Following the death of their nonagenarian vicar, Dibley's Parish Council is awaiting his replacement. To their surprise - and the horror of Chairman David Horton - their new man turns out to be a woman: Geraldine!

Songs of Praise are coming to film Dibley and its new female vicar. Unfortunately for Geraldine, the producer turns out to be devastatingly attractive - and Alice, who's reading the lesson, continues to be devastatingly below par on the brains front.

St Barnabas' Church finds itself in need of a new stained-glass window after Dibley is hit by a hurricane. The problem is, no one can remember what was on the old window. It's Geraldine's job to raise the necessary cash - with very little help from Mrs. Cropley's cookery book, "100 Exciting Things to do with Root Vegetables."

David has been the Councilor in a safe Tory seat for many years. But when Geraldine becomes concerned that not enough has been done for his constituency, David finds he now has a village that is prepared to vote for the Vicar.

Geraldine plans to hold a special service of blessing in St Barnabas for all the animals of the village. David is convinced it will fail - will all the animals be properly house-trained while in church? And will any of them try to eat one of the others?
