Dr. Dre discovers Snoop Dogg, a petty drug slinger from Long Beach with a unique, laid-back rapping style. The L.A. riots proves that gangsta rap was prescient in voicing the problems of the Black community of Los Angeles.

Despite the label's success, our characters cannot escape trouble. Suge is charged with assault and battery, Dre gets a DUI and is sent to jail for violating his parole, and in the most serious legal trouble, Snoop Dogg is charged with murder.

Suge gets Tupac out of prison and All Eyez On Me is a massive hit. Despite success, Death Row faces huge set backs when street violence at the label leads to Dre's departure before Tupac is shot in Las Vegas.

Tupac dies and a gang war erupts in Compton. The once untouchable label crumbles as Suge's probation violation lands him in prison. Biggie is murdered in Los Angeles. The Hip-Hop community mourns and calls for peace.
