Andres Vargas is a police detective who dies while chasing the Midnight Butcher, a psychopath responsible for the murder of multiple women. While still getting over the shock of realizing he's dead, Vargas gets the chance to come back to life from a supernatural, midway dimension. But five years later, and in the body of another detective, Manuel Márquez.

Laura wants to meet her daughter's new co-worker and invites him for dinner. This way, Márquez reencounters his whole family, longing to get his former life back. On the other hand, the young gang member Márquez and Susana arrested tries to kill Márquez.

Nadie debe saber lo ocurrido con Marvin Carranza y Márquez y el Enlace entierran su cadáver en un descampado. Una vez que se han deshecho de las pruebas, Márquez pretende que su vida vuelva a la normalidad, pero ocurre algo totalmente inesperado: El Carnicero de Medianoche, tras cinco años inactivo, y a quién todos daban por muerto, vuelve a asesinar a una joven.

After closing the Butcher case, the police station goes back to dealing with the usual local cases. Márquez and the Liaison are the only ones to know the murderer is out there, and it won't be long before they discover he will go after them.

Márquez y el Enlace consiguen localizar al Carnicero en una vieja pensión. Al llegar vivirán extraños acontecimientos que complicarán su investigación.

Márquez y el Enlace descubren que el Carnicero colocó un extraño dispositivo en el collar del perro que recogieron de la pensión. Mientras, la policía sigue investigando la desaparición de la anciana y están a punto de descubrir que el Enlace está involucrado.

En comisaria se preparan para el mayor evento del año: Santos va a ser condecorado con la medalla al mérito policial. El comisario, interesado en impresionar a Laura, la invita al acto de entrega junto a toda su familia. Márquez tendrá que dejar su orgullo a un lado para proteger a los suyos, cuando descubra que el Carnicero también estará allí.

The Butcher comes dangerously close to Bea when he pretends to be one of her high school teachers.The Butcher gets into Bea’s high school. Pretending to be a teacher, he comes dangerously close to Vargas’s daughter. The teenager trusts him naively after having a good impression of the new teacher.

The police find the buried bodies of the hostiles. Márquez and the Liaison plan to take the bodies away before the autopsies are done and they get involved in the case. Meanwhile, David begins to suspect Márquez and decides to investigate him on his own.

Márquez and the Liaison discover the Butcher’s true identity and find where he lives. Once they get there, they face the killer, who has a chance to kill the Liaison but doesn’t do it. The policeman is left wondering why he reacted so strangely.

El Enlace y Márquez cuentan con la ayuda de Sebas para encontrar al Carnicero. El ex policía y dueño del bar El Vuelo desea colaborar en la detención del que mató a Vargas, su mejor amigo. Lo que no espera Sebas es la escena de terror que se va a encontrar: el ataque de varios hostiles en una trampa preparada por el Carnicero.

La fotografía descubierta en la guarida del Carnicero es la clave para dar con el asesino. Así lo entiende Sebas, que trata de averiguar quiénes son esas mujeres. Mientras, Márquez trata de manejar la compleja situación que genera el Alzheimer de su padre.
