Claire starts hearing an incessant rumbling, no one seems able to help - until her student claims to also hear the noise.

Claire and Kyle discover a group of others who can not only hear The Hum but also want to embrace it.

Unable to experience The Hum the way the others can, Claire has a crisis.

At first resistant, Claire finally loses herself in the Hum.

As the outside world closes in on the group, one last group session ends in tragedy.
