In this episode, the cooks work on reinventing classic seafood cocktails for immunity. Later, they face an elimination challenge where they put a modern spin on a classic dish. The mentors blind-taste the spoons and choose the bottom three, leading to one cook's elimination.

The cooks face a comfort food challenge judged by guest chef Michael Caines. The cooks create their own interpretation of comfort food to impress Michael. The three worst performers face elimination, leaving one mentor with two cooks in danger.

The remaining ten cooks face a spice-themed challenge judged by guest chef Yotam Ottolenghi. They create sweet dishes using spices, followed by savory dishes. The three weakest performers face elimination, leaving only one kitchen with a full house.

The remaining cooks face a challenge judged by guest chef Ruth Rogers. They make dishes using tomato sauce and later prepare family-inherited recipes. The dishes range from lasagna to mince pie but since the food is tasted blind, there is every chance the mentors could put their own cooks in danger!

The judges return for the next round of The Taste. Eight cooks compete in a chocolate-themed challenge, creating sweet and savory dishes with chocolate. Pâtissier Eric Lanlard guides them through the task. One mentor faces the difficult decision of sending a contestant home.

Only seven contestants remain in The Taste! Chef Simon Rogan tasks them with creating incredible dishes using leftovers, challenging their creativity. The mentors must determine which cook falls short and will be eliminated from the competition.

This week it is all about meat, with guest chef Fergus Henderson emphasizing using both prime cuts and "forgotten cuts," like bone marrow and tripe. The pressure intensifies as the contestants compete for a spot in the semi-final.

The semi-final focuses on the theme of "simplicity," with guest chef Angela Hartnett challenging the contestants to create dishes using only three ingredients. As the temperature rises, who can keep their cool, keep it simple, and win a place in The Taste Grand Final?

Four remaining cooks have reached the final stage of The Taste! The contestants face challenges to create canapés and a classic ham and cheese omelette, judged by chef Pierre Koffmann. The last three try their best to prepare an impressive three-course meal but only one will walk away as the winner.
