Lifeguard candidates compete for a chance to attend Rookie School and become Baywatch Lifeguards. Mitch is offered a promotion to Captain but prefers to stay on the beach. Meanwhile, Lani McKensie faces the sinister return of a former love.

Hobie, Lani, April and Skylar are among the Rookie School trainees competing for a few open slots as Lifeguards. When a vengeful jet skier comes after April, Hobie finally shows that he's got Lifeguarding in his blood, coming to April's rescue.

Veteran lifeguard Jack 'JD' Darius has come to Baywatch to throw his rescue can in the ring for the open Lieutenant slot, but young and ambitious Taylor Walsh also wants the job.

Mitch, Sky, and April find a dead man at the bottom of the ocean and search to find out who he is and why he was there. At the retirement home where he lived, they run into two of his friends who seem to be hiding the true story.

April has trouble dealing with her brother's fatal cancer, but Mitch helps her realize how special Charlie really is. Mitch and Hobie make sure Charlie's last days are the best of his life.

Caroline returns to discover what she really wants to do with her life. The lifeguards are plagued by a sleaze-ball helicopter reporter who knows too much and gets in the way.

Seismic activity causes problems for the lifeguards.

The Santa Ana winds blow an air of mystery into Baywatch: Two sea lions are killed in an unexplainable event. Mitch must find the cause and stop it before more damage occurs.

Neely returns to Baywatch and Donna tries to help her face her addiction to painkillers. Meanwhile, Craig Pomeroy makes a surprise re-appearance as legal counsel to an old Native American man.

Cody breaks regulations and leaves his post five minutes early to meet Lani for a movie. After he leaves, a young woman goes into the ocean and her little sister sees her washed under by the waves and never reappear.

Caroline is hijacked by a young thief who forces her to drive him in a wild getaway chase with authorities helping him to escape. Meanwhile, Neely reveals a shocking secret about her time away from Baywatch.

An encounter with sharks leads Craig and April to take shelter in a power plant intake pipe where powerful suction pulls them into a turbine room. Their only recourse is to avoid getting drawn into the deadly turbines until help arrives.

Mitch finds out that a cache of US Marine weapons have been stolen and are probably being hidden offshore. Mitch and Cody eventually locate the sunken boat with the arms on board and are taken captive.

As reckless jet skiers threaten the safety of the surfers out in the water, a more personal turmoil rages on the beach.

Cody, JD, and Lani try to make some extra cash in a scheme to collect Sea Urchins to sell in the Far East, but when another diver gets into trouble, Lani blows out her eardrums trying to help and goes deaf maybe permanently

Garner Ellerbee returns and enlists Mitch's help to track down and capture a ring of drug smugglers operating from a boat offshore. Meanwhile, Lani is desperately struggling to come to terms with her deafness.

Cody makes a wild bet with some local hotshots and Mitch ends up risking his uncle's new Scarab in a wild race with a finish none of them expected. Meanwhile, Neely and Ashley stay with Mitch for a couple of days until her new apartment is ready.

After a swimmer shows symptoms of a deadly virus, headquarters is quarantined, trapping a nervous Mitch, April, Donna and JD inside with an annoying salesman. Meanwhile, Newman takes on JD's plum assignment.

Neely's new nanny develops a dangerous obsession with Mitch after he saves her from a boating disaster. Meanwhile, April and Manny join a charity contest arranged by Newmie's diabetic nephew.

While Lani prepares for a photo shoot during a cruise to Alaska, Neely decides to return to her ex-husband, who lives there. Meanwhile, Hobie's good fortune lands him, Mitch, Cody and a jewel thief aboard the ladies' ship.

Mitch and Cody surprise Neely and Lani by showing up on the Dawn Princess. During the stop in Juneau, Gavin finally recognizes Leslie, who takes a clueless Hobie with her in the beginning a harrowing chase.

After rescuing a glacier-bound Hobie and Leslie from Gavin, Mitch returns to the Dawn Princess with a romantic proposition for Neely.
