The Secret City

In the territory of modern Moscow, there is a Secret town concealed from the common men (the Chels) by magic, where different races dwell: Nav (The Dark Court), Lyud (The Green House), Chood, Red Hats, Erli and others. Vestnik, a messenger from the Green House, with the assistance of Red Hats, steals the Carthaginian amulet from Chood.

Artyom gives the Carthaginian Amulet to the double-ganger of Santiago, but the artifact is back with him after the skirmish with Red Hats. The queen of The Green House remembers the story of Vestnik. At first, she was raising him to take over the power sources of different houses and restore the domination of the house of Lyud'. But later she decided to kill him.

Cortes and Yana introduce Artyom to the history of the Secret Town. During the meeting, they are overtaken by The Green House and are offered cooperation. Artyom and mercenaries escape. The bewitched Artyom tells the fairy of The Green House where the artifact is hidden. Artyom is abducted by Red Hats. Great houses are on the verge of war, but thanks to Santiago, open confrontation is avoided.

Santiago meets Kornilov, the investigator of Chels leading the case of serial murders of blondes. Artyom is captured by Vestnik. That is where the fairy of The Green House brings the artifact that ends up with Artyom again. Santiago and Chood' attack Vestnik. All houses and power sources participate in the fight. Vestnik loses the battle.

People are killed all over the world, with one hand chopped off and a seal set in the forehead. Santiago realizes that someone makes sacrifices to receive the force by possessing the Arcane of Desires. It turns out that Bogdan, the knight from the house of Chood', kills people and sacrifices them. Artyom saves his ex-girlfriend Larisa and kills the werewolf of The Green House, Black Moryana.

The mercenaries find out that Larisa has a necklace which was given to her by Bogdan. It is somehow related to the Arcane of Desires. Artyom, while protecting Larisa, enters a fight with another Moryana. Bogdan tells a story about an old aim of the house of Chood' to destroy priestesses of The Green House that he did not manage to execute. Santiago signs a contract with mercenaries for a new task.

The Green House interrogates Artyom with regard to the case of Moryana's murder. It becomes clear that Larisa is connected with Bogdan's plans. Red Hats offer Cortes to help them to become an independent house. Moryana bites the assistant to the investigator Kornilov. Cortes forces Erli to save him. Santiago tries to convince Chood' to stop their magician who is creating the Arcane of Desires.

Bogdan and his wife are getting Larisa ready for the sacrifice in order to give superpower to their future child by means of the Arcane of Desires. Bogdan uses the witch of Chels, Kara, who by means of a magic bracelet manipulates Moryanas. Mercenaries release Larisa and kill Bogdan. However, the energy of the Arcane of Desires is intercepted by Kara. They don't manage to stop her.
