Richard visits the Inca's Valley of the Kings, and the Inka-terra organization who are pioneers of eco-tourism in Peru and have led the way in the global development of ecologically sensitive tourist projects. From there, we go to one of the most unique hotels in the world - the Skyventure Lodge. Then to the world famous Machu Picchu, where Richard visits this ancient Incan abandoned city.

Ancient Siam meets privacy and 'Intelligent Luxury' at Soneva Kiri, an award-winning luxury resort located on Thailand's 4th largest island, Koh Kood. Richard learns about Soneva's "waste to wealth" policy, and visits Mandalay to learn more about the Soneva Foundation's Myanmar Stoves Campaign.

Ted Turner is one of the US's largest landowners, and his Vermejo Park Ranch in New Mexico is a 600 000 acre ranch dedicated to the conservation and reintroduction of a number of endangered species. Vermejo offers a wide range of environmentally sensitive programs for visitors. Richard also takes time to visit some of the famous sites of American history along the Santa Fe trail.

Join Richard as he travels deep into Chile's Patagonian Rainforest and the Huilo Huilo Biological Reserve. See some of the most unique hotels on earth, including one shaped as a mushroom and another as a fairytale kingdom. Discover beautiful lakes, volcanoes, waterfalls and the rainforest, skiing down an unmarked glacier and fly on some of the world's highest and longest zip lines.

Richard returns to his country of birth to explore some of the most remote islands off the coast of Scotland. Join him as he braves the cold waters of the North Atlantic to sustainably harvest sea kelp for one of Scotland's most highly acclaimed gins. He'll visit the ruins of ancient Scottish cultures and he'll learn the heritage and history of Scotland's oldest continuous company, Harris Tweed.

Richard visits the Angama Mara Safari Lodge in Kenya, suspended high above the floor of Africa's Great Rift Valley. The Angama Mara Foundation supports many programs including, local school funding and The Rhino Project. They also go to great lengths to reduce their carbon footprint and increase sustainability. Richard also gets the opportunity to get up close and personal with a pride of lions.

The Aristi Mountain Resort sits in Northern Greece and a far cry from what most people would associate what Greece looks like. Join Richard as he explores this mountainous region, hiking the deepest gorge in the world, fishing the cleanest waters in Europe, and enjoys some of the natural culinary delights originating from this region including Feta Cheese, aromatic herbs and delicious wines.

Orang-utans are the world's largest tree- climbing mammals. But their forest habitat in Borneo is rapidly disappearing. Staying at Sukau Rainforest Lodge, Richard sees first hand how the locals are fighting the threat to both their environment and tourism industry. Along the way, Richard sees a range of animals in their natural habitat, and visits one of only 2 sources of birds nest soup.

Based on their "intelligent luxury" and "waste to wealth" philosophies, Soneva Fushi in the Maldives offers incredible insight into how environmental sensitivity doesn't preclude luxury. Eco-Centro is the heart of the resort, turning waste into recycled products. Soneva Fushi has its own recycled glass studio and celestial observatory but this is slightly overshadowed by the 60,000 sqft, Villa 11

In Part 2 of Richard's trip to the Maldives he visits the world famous, over the water, Jani resort, followed by a leisurely cruise on Soneva's floating villa , "Soneva in Aqua". He'll help to teach some local children to swim and find out how the Soneva organization is helping to produce fresh drinking water to neighboring islands.
