A series of unfounded suspucions lead the otherwise happy couple Jerry and Lucy Warriner (Cary Grant and Irene Dunne) to begin divorce proceedings, whereupon they begin undermining each other's attempts to find new romance. Leo McCarey won the Best Director Oscar for this warm but unsparing comedy about two people whose flaws only make them more irresistible.
