Building Alaska

Three new build teams arrive to their build sites and begin work on their unique cabins in the remote Alaskan wilderness. One cabin's foundation consists of two shipping containers, and delivery on the mountain is a nail biter.

Trees that are falling too soon, inclement weather, an impassable driveway and more plague the guys on their builds.

One builder runs out of lumber and the framers he hired don't show up. Then, wrong cuts and measurements threaten to put a team further behind than ever.

Intense helicopter deliveries of roof rafters, forklift shenanigans and rickety ladders are just a few of the challenges faced by the teams.

All three builds are running behind schedule and face big challenges to getting ahead.

John and Heather's build is put on pause as they try to figure out how to install drywall without covering their timber frame. Josh and his team have to contend with breaking tools, winter looming and bears eating their supplies.

Time is running out for the builders to complete their projects. Chris gets help installing solar panels and sets up cameras to watch for bears, and John and Heather must rebuild the road to their cabin after a flood.

The builders are in the final push to finish their cabins before winter strikes. Josh fights rain and wind to install the wood stove and finish the roofing tin, and Chris rushes to install kitchen counters before company arrives.
