Eric the crab and his sea creature friends spend the day attempting to awaken the sleeping octopus through song.

Joe the octopus finds an old TV underwater, initially entertained but soon growing bored, creating various programs including one featuring the crab, before eventually losing interest. He ends up watching the sunset through the empty screen.

Joe the octopus finds a vinyl record and winds up the gramophone, and would not allow the others to sing or play along. As a result, the record breaks, but the friends find instruments and play the melody live.

Eric the crab presents a floating buoy to the squid, sparking a lively music session, annoying the sleepy octopus. When the buoy deflates, Eric reinflates it too forcefully, sending it and the octopus airborne.

Eric the crab pursues a passing bathyscaphe in hopes of including it in the fun, but it hides and runs out of power. Once revived by a shock from the Ray the stingray, later returning to join the joyous celebration with the rest of the group.

A coconut interrupts Eric the crab's song, making his voice silly. Despite attempts to revert it with other objects, only another coconut restores his normal voice temporarily before another falls, changing it back again.

While singing, Eric the crab discovers an echo, interrupting the octopus's activities until realizing the squid is the source. They harmonize together, with the octopus replacing the squid's echo.

Joe the octopus and Eric the crab discover a hidden seabed chest with a pirate's skeleton guarding its treasure. They decide to make music with the loot, initially scaring off the skeleton, who eventually joins in on the fun.

Eric the crab releases a genie from a lamp Joe threw away. Realizing that the genie can grant wishes, Joe steals the lamp and asks for three silly wishes. After the genie grants these wishes, he disappears back into the lamp and Joe's wishes backfire.

Joe daydreams about dancing and flying with birds, interrupted by Eric. He hides and uses a raft to escape. Despite interruptions, Joe unexpectedly joins the birds, overcoming fear and escaping the island.

Eric finds a doctor's bag and orders Sid bed rest, while others are put on rest. Joe flees, and Sid coughs, causing concern. Eric plays music, but Sid flees in terror.

Eric and his friends discover an iceberg drifting to an island shore. They befriend a penguin on it and enjoy playing in the snow. Later, they find the penguin tired and sweaty, so they make a raft to help the penguin go home.

Eric and his friends enjoy themselves, but Joe desires peace. He creates a catapult to launch Eric to the moon, where he has a disco party with crabs, causing the moon to shake.

A bird asks Sid to teach her chicks to sing and dance. Sid then returns to his friends and continues singing while the bird struggles to sleep because the chicks won't stop singing.

Eric loses his voice, and his friends scare him. His voice returns, high and squeaky. He accidentally enters Sharon's mouth, coughing, and Eric emerges. He sings again, but Sharon realizes she has lost her voice too.

Joe the octopus hides from a noisy Eric the crab but gets knocked out by a falling chess set. He dreams of being chased, then awakens to friends and a heavy ball landing him in a new dream.

Eric the crab and The turtle wake up on a small island and sing. When they find the sea dried up, they summon rain with a dance, flooding the island.

Eric the crab energetically sings, keeping everyone on their toes. His tired friends try to hide but he finds them easily. When Eric finally falls asleep, the turtle's dropped shell wakes him, starting the fun again.

Joe the octopus hides from Eric the crab inside a grand piano. When Sid the squid plays rock 'n' roll, Joe is forced to dance, then accidentally knocking himself out when the piano lid closes.
