Ruby lives with his sister and her son in suburban New York. He dreams of great fortune and opens a bar. Luck seems to be with the proud bar owner and entertainer until building speculators want to tear down his bar. Ruby tries everything to save his lifelong dream. At the last second, Ruby finds a way out and soon after makes plans for the future again.
