1980. Eloy Rodríguez, Civil Guard Lieutenant, requests to be temporarily sent to the dangerous headquarters of Intxaurrondo, San Sebastián, which would in turn allow him to request any other destination he chooses later on, and join the Counterterrorism Unit. For this purpose, he leaves his pregnant wife behind in Madrid.
