It is a cult comedy film about a young man Ram Prasad (Amol Palekar) who finds a job with a finicky man, Bhavani Shankar (Utpal Dutt), who believes that a man without a moustache is a man without a character.But situations result in the young man shaving off his moustache and playing a double role. One with moustache Ramprasad and the other his clean shaved twin Laxmanprasad. Will he be caught?
