Mariana, an outspoken young artist, is planning an ambitious play reconstructing the anti-Semitic 1941 Odessa Massacre. But resentment among the extras and authorities wanting to censor the spectacle are standing in the way. The performance, conceived as a wake-up call, slowly turns into a farce.
