Ice Lake Rebels

On the remote and lawless Great Slave Lake, winter freeze is only days away. Newbies Iman and Jessica discover that living off the grid during freeze-up can be life threatening. Meanwhile, Stephan and Allyce struggle to make last-minute preparations.

The rebels work on perfecting their hunting and fishing skills as they begin stocking up on food for the long winter.

Alone on the remote lake, Stephan and Bryan go missing on an overnight fishing expedition in -40 degree temperatures. Though their fellow survivalists scour the lake for them, odds of their safe return quickly begin to plummet.

The rebels battle the wrath of Great Slave Lake as one of the most savage winter storms in history charges towards them. With temperatures plummeting below 50 degrees, they are losing this battle.

The winter storms have passed, but food needed to survive the remaining winter days is scarce. Ragnar hunts down a Great Slave Lake black bear while Stephan and Allyce voyage to the open lake in search of fish. Randy uses his ingenuity to set snares.

With breakup of the lake on the horizon, the rebels battle cabin fever by honing their survival skills at an annual Ice Lake Games event. However, an accident on the ice reminds them that the lake is still in charge.

Tensions rise as one of the most deadly times of the year approaches -- the thaw. As the ice softens, Brian takes a perilous plunge into the subarctic lake and Molly is paralyzed by the fear of falling through.

High winds start to break up the ice, so Stephan and Allyce use a motorboat to break up large ice sheets into smaller chunks. Gary and Molly then batten down the hatches against the high winds, but the Molly Barge breaks loose.

Spring finally thaws Great Slave Lake and the rebels adjust to water now under their homes. Stephan and Allyce finally tie the knot, Molly is left to fend for herself as well as three barges and Pike Mike moves to a remote part of the bay.
