Inside Luxury Travel

The series begins in Varun's home town of London, which is also home to some of the finest luxury hotels in the world, including the legendary Dorchester Hotel. Varun explores the single greatest teaware collection in the world, has his own perfume created by a Master Perfumer before capping off the day with a visit to Davidoff on St James to sample the finest cigars and a Louis XIII cognac.

This episode centers on Abu Dhabi where Varun heads to the glamorous Emirates Palace. His adventures start on a seaplane over the region before he joins a cooking class, makes time for paddleboarding and camel riding as well as scuba diving with dolphins. Then it's on to the Park Hyatt on Saadiyat Island for a spot of golf and wildlife spotting.

Varun travels to the North of the beautiful island of St Lucia in the Caribbean for a night at the luxurious Cap Maison. After taking a dip in his own roof-top plunge pool, Varun stops in at the cellar to sip on some vintage wine and Caribbean rum. The next day is action-packed as Varun explores the island by quad bike before a dramatic arrival at Sugar Beach where he settles in for the night.

Varun checks into one of the most luxurious properties in Switzerland - The Beau-Rivage Palace in Lausanne on the shores of Lake Geneva. Once settled, he heads to Cressiere to cook with the three Michelin Star chef, Benoit Voilier. The learning continues with a trip to Domaine du Daley, one of the country's top wine producers, for a masterclass in winemaking.

The location is St Petersburg and Varun's first stop is the Four Seasons Lion Palace. From here Varun enjoys a boat trip of the city taking in the breath-taking sights before he returns to the hotel for a very Russian masterclass of vodka tasting! Once again Varun feels the heat of a top kitchen at the Four Seasons and learns to make a traditional Russian dish featuring caviar.

The Peloponnese has a lot on offer and Varun tries to take in as much as possible. After arriving at AmanZo'e resort by helicopter, Varun meets the resort Dive-Master and takes a dip in the crystal waters of the Mediterranean. Varun visits the ancient towns of Epidavros and Mycenea and takes a boat cruise to Spetses and Hydra to learn about the region's rich history and olive oil production.

Ever in search of luxury, Varun heads to Abadia Retuerta leDomaine in Spain, a converted monastery with a few rooms and suites but a huge reputation for excellent cuisine, service, and wines. Here he meets the hotel's head winemaker and explores their stunning vineyard before enjoying a cooking lesson with Michelin starred chef Andoni. Varun then tries his hand at horse riding and falconry.

The Sultanate of Oman is a favourite holiday destination for Varun, so he is eager to show off this wonderful country. He starts in style at Al Bustan Palace. From here he heads to the Al Mouj golf club for a quick round with the Club Captain. Then Varun enjoys a culinary experience with the Executive Chef before visiting Nizwa as well as the Al Hajjar Mountains for some spectacular views.

Varun stays at the acclaimed Augustine Hotel in Prague where he enjoys the amazing Tower Suite, which offers 360-degree views of the city. He then tours the area in a vintage car before visiting a local monastery, home to a library of rare and ancient books. He then drives to St Barbara Cathedral in Kutna Hura, visits Prague's oldest brewery, and explores the Czech Museum of Music.

Varun finds himself at the spectacular, The Mulia in Bali. From here he drives to Bali Pulina where an unusual commodity is produced - Luwak, or civet cat poo coffee! He then heads to Uluwatu to learn about the island's lace and clothing manufacturing. After a spot of shopping, Varun visits The Four Seasons Jimbaran Bay where its straight to the kitchen to prepare an exquisite local dish.
