Linda Atlas (Betty Garrett) and her young son Petey, witness the murder of her boss by Jess Reber (John Barrymore, Jr.) and his two accomplices. Petey wanders off, and Reber takes his mom hostage. Linda's estranged husband, Detective Tony Atlas (Phil Carey), finds their son and frantically begins to search for her. Linda's only hope is for Petey to lead his dad to her before it's too late.
