In 1994, a murder case is closed when an outsider confesses, but in 2014, Carl Mørck realizes something is wrong. As he and his team investigate, they find an old emergency call from a girl who knows the secrets of the murders. As they search for the girl, they discover influential men trying to keep her silent.
