The Large Family

When Mrs Smart is unexpectedly enlisted as their babysitter, the Large children decide that the only fun to be had is if they can annoy her by giving her nothing to complain about!

When Mr Large's plans to surprise Mrs Large, (with a birthday trip to the Disco Delight), are thwarted, Lester, Laura and Luke pull together to ensure their parents have a night to remember - in their garage.

A school fete to raise money for a new minibus pits Lester against Sebastian to see who can raise the most money, and reveals that Mrs Smart is determined to thwart Mrs Large by any means possible.

Rotorwhizzers may be the latest toy craze, but Lester proves that sometimes the old toys are the best toys.

Granny and Grandpa are both poorly, but the Large Family's well meaning attempt to look after them does not prove as restful an experience as they had hoped for.

When Mrs Smart goes on holiday she leaves Mrs Large in charge of her prized pot plants. But Lester and Luke's attempts to help their Mum don't prove as successful as they had hoped!

A power cut deprives the Large Family of watching the latest episode of Super Elly, but they end up having much more fun, even though the Smarts do their best to spoil things.

A play at school provides the inspiration for Lester to organise just the thing to give his Mum a break from her hectic day of housework.

Large Family are enthusiastic about their school recycling project, but find it an effort to persuade Mrs Smart to show the same enthusiasm.

A day at Pachyderm Park provides fun for all the family, even if Lester's attempts to impress Sebastian's cousin Sarah are less than successful and Mr Large and the children almost lose Mrs Large.

Lester, Laura, Luke and Lucy each give Mr Large a surprise to help make it a Father's Day to remember.

Laura's prize for winning a dinosaur quiz on their trip to the museum proves just the thing to solve Mrs Large's problem with baby Lucy.

Lester is thwarted in his attempt to learn to play an instrument in time for the school concert, until he realises that his musical skill was hiding inside him all the time - his voice.

Mr Large's attempts to repair the house after a storm, result in things being worse than when he started!

Laura's starry eyed attempts to copy the style of the new girl at school are less than successful. But Laura learns the importance of just being yourself.

When Lester, Laura and Luke complain to Mrs Large about how often they have fish fingers and pasta for supper, she decides to enrol in a cookery course!

Mr and Mrs Large enter the Mammoth Radio talent contest, but an attack of stage fright threatens to ruin everything.

Lester and Luke's determination to disrupt Laura's games with her friend Julia reduce Mrs Large to despair. Mr Large decides that the only way to resolve things is to organise a contest - boys versus girls.

Luke is nervous about his upcoming birthday - will he get the present he really wants and will his birthday party be good and exciting enough for his hero Peter Perfect?

Luke is worried about having to stay at Granny and Grandpa's without his Mum and Dad. Lester and Laura try to help him forget his worries, but when he discovers the attic containing all Dad's old toys, it is Luke himself who solves the problem.

Lester, Laura, Luke and Lucy manage to cover Mrs Large's special party dress in jam and paint. But Laura manages to come up with an idea to save the day and make Mrs Large the fashionable Belle of the Ball.

Mr Large plans a day of fresh air and exercise but at the end of the day neither he nor Mrs Large prove to have the enthusiastic stamina of Lester, Laura, Luke and Lucy!

Mrs Large's free day at the new health spa in town is somewhat spoilt by the unexpected presence of Mrs Smart; while back at home Mr Smart's meanness can't prevent the children having a wonderful time in their own home made spa.

Mr Short, the local shopkeeper, is all alone at Christmas until Lester comes up with a plan to rectify the situation and give him the best Christmas he has ever had.

The children's teacher, Miss Lovely, is away and the much more formal Mrs Gray has taken her place. Unfortunately she and Lester don't see eye to eye until one day, when Mrs Gray leaves her lesson plans on the bus, Lester comes up with the idea that saves the day!
