Beo Fulci, a young quantum physics researcher, has disappeared in mysterious circumstances. His fourteen-year-old brother Max finds comfort in his two closest friends – although the pain of losing Beo makes him aloof. One evening the three friends end up discovering a strange time machine and make it work, finding themselves in 1939 in a Rome shaken by racial laws.
