In 1867, renowned marine biologist Professor Aronnax sets out to identify the mysterious sea creature that disabled a Navy steamship in the North Atlantic. His daughter Sophie, disguised as a man, comes along as his assistant. Soon, they are intercepted by a high-tech submarine and forced to confront its maniacal captain, Nemo.
