Erotic auteur Walerian Borowczyk presents his cinematic interpretation of Ovid's Ars Amatoria, exploring the art of seduction. While her husband is fighting in Gaul, Claudia (Marina Pierro), the wife of a Roman commander, attends the lectures of Ovid (Massimo Girotti) on how to love and be loved by women. She then puts his theories into practice, taking a young student as her lover.
