Frankie, Lewis, and Dylan arrive at their new family home. Amid unpacked boxes and a visit from Di, Frankie begins to experience mysterious aches. Across town, Tess and a somewhat reluctant Caroline move into their new Sydney abode.

With Charlie and Julia back in the harsh land of house hunting, Tom returns to Sydney with a new attitude to life following an epiphany he experienced during his migration fiasco. In the aftermath of her miscarriage, Frankie’s attempts to paint are unsuccessful, and Lewis challenges her dedication and passion for her art.

Lewis, Frankie, Miles, and Harper attend Dylan’s funeral pyre for the murdered lizards. Dylan is unaware that Miles is the culprit and blames Lewis, but Harper sets the record straight. When Julia and Charlie run into Julia’s estranged sister, Simone, Charlie suggests it may be time for Julia to develop a relationship with her, but Julia is hesitant.

Charlie and Julia's get a surprise when Tom comes to their dinner with Simone. Dylan confronts Tom about his feelings for Tom. Lewis is trying to lower his debts. Caroline is all stressed out, and is breaking down.

Dylan is nowhere to be found, so Tess lodges a missing person’s report with the police. Lewis looks for help to drive around in search of Dylan.

Lewis drives home unlicensed in the new car Di has bought and has an accident. When Lewis asks Frankie to cover for him, she does so but with serious consequences.

Frankie and Lewis are living separately and attempting to deal with it in their respective ways. After a night out partying together, Simone makes a confession to Julia.

Frankie bonds with Dylan, and he reveals that Lewis is not coping well with the break. A much-humbled Lewis apologizes to Frankie, who admits to her own emotional trauma.
