Haikyu!! is a slice-of-life volleyball sports anime based on the Weekly Shonen Jump manga series from Haruichi Furudate. Hinata is inspired to create a volleyball team in his last year of middle school. Matched against the "King of the Court" Tobio Kageyama's team they ultimately lose. Vowing to surpass Kageyama, Hinata joins the high school volleyball team only to find that Tobio has joined too.
