Filmmaker Mehran Tamadon is an Iranian in exile, living in France. In 2012, he was warned that coming back would mean prison, torture or worse. Seeking to understand this experience, he asks actress Zar Amir Ebrahimi to interrogate him as if they were in Iran. Ultimately, Mehran hopes to return with the film, so real torturers can see how far they have drifted from their basic humanity.
