Epitafios (Epitaphs)

Series premiere. Five years after a school tragedy, a brutal crime brings together Benitez, the superintendent, Renzo Marquez, an ex-cop, and Laura Santini, a psychiatrist. They soon discover a tombstone which reveals the message 'never should have.'

Renzo and Martin decide to work together after Benitez's death. Their investigation leads them directly to the father of one of the kids who were murdered at the school. Laura is forced to meet with Renzo; and an old debt inspires the next epitaph.

Trying to find the identity of the killer, Renzo and Martin trace the steps of one of the suspects.

Renzo discovers a very important piece of information in the warehouse. Manuel once again goes to Laura's office. Meanwhile, there's a new victim whose epitaph reads 'the one who made darkness an obsession.'

As the relationship with her ex-husband becomes increasingly tense, Laura discovers new information about the killer. A new epitaph is found near another body, and it reads 'the one who ignored the misfortune will answer at all times.'

Frustrated by the events at the airport, the killer decides to reveal his name to Laura. In the meantime, an unexpected and gravely injured visitor arrives at Renzo's house and Martin receives information that could lead him to the killer.

After making sure Fernando's mother doesn't reveal any information to the police, the killer concentrates on fixing the only mistake he has committed so far. Meanwhile, the ringing of a phone in the basement may foretell a death.

Renzo meets detective Marina Segal. A picture reveals the face of the killer and leads to important discoveries for both Laura and Marina. While Renzo prepares a trap for the killer and Marina comes close to the truth, a new epitaph is revealed.

After his latest visit to Laura's office, the killer--who is named Bruno--decides to change his appearance. Laura makes the difficult decision to protect Nico. In the funeral home, Renzo and Laura discover new information about Bruno.

Bruno is angry after seeing his picture in the newspapers. Renzo receives news from Marina containing a warning and Laura prepares to leave the country. As the number of bodies dramatically increases, Renzo is forced to take drastic measures.

After returning to the police force, Renzo discovers a new tombstone. The cops are able to follow Bruno closely when he visits his father's funeral home. Marina relives her traumatic experience with Bruno.

After taking Marina off the case, Jimenez reveals who shot his mother. While Renzo and Marina try to take advantage of Bruno's weaknesses, he will use the most profound weakness of his enemies to orchestrate an elaborate plan.

Season One finale. Renzo becomes desperate when Bruno takes Laura hostage, but Bruno will not give up until he makes Renzo suffer what he has suffered.
