Picking up where Season 7 left off, Subaru Motorsports USA celebrates a championship winning season, but faces an uncertain future as the world hits pause. Brandon Semenuk joins Travis Pastrana on the rally team, while Scott Speed returns to the rallycross team after a season-ending injury.

After months of uncertainty, Subaru Motorsports USA takes to the rally stages for the first time in 2020 at the Southern Ohio Forest Rally. The team digs deep to save Travis Pastrana's season after the car is destroyed, and new teammate Brandon Semenuk has to carry the torch to the finish. Meanwhile, Scott Speed rejoins the rallycross team for development testing.

As the abbreviated season reaches its midpoint in Minnesota at the Ojibwe Forests Rally, Travis Pastrana is flat out to get his rally championship back on track. Brandon Semenuk once again impresses the team with his consistency and speed.

Subaru Motorsports USA is in a must-win situation at the Show-Me Rally in Missouri to keep their championship alive. Travis Pastrana looks for a second consecutive win to stay in the title fight, while teammate Brandon Semenuk turns up the pace in his third event with the team. But rally is a team sport, and this time the service crew steps up to save the day.
