Undercover

Chris meets his new police handler, Zoe for the first time. She's ambitious and determined. Luckily for Zoe, Chris has been recently inducted into the inner circle of the family - meeting Ara Sarkissian and his right hand man Garabed, his mother Lucine and one of his many cousins, Hamo. Unfortunately for Chris, this now means he is in very real danger of losing his life.

Arno and Ara have the wedding of the family's boss (and distant relative) Yurik Petrosian's granddaughter coming up and both are keen to impress. Chris is tasked with intercepting some stolen gems, together with Ara's nephew and Lara's brother, Stepan, getting them to Ara's man 'the jeweler' for a gift to be made and the rest fenced.

The Police are becoming impatient with 'Operation Piccolo' and see the release of Ara's henchman Tommi Lylozian from prison as an opportunity to make some real headway. Incriminating evidence on the Sarkissian operation is to be gathered by Chris - wearing a wire.

Stepan has been arrested for possession of (a lot) of firearms and drugs. The family are concerned but furious. This puts them under scrutiny at just the wrong time. They're also worried Stepan could turn whistleblower. The family can't risk him going inside. Meanwhile Zoe is under pressure: a DCI Langdon has been brought in on her case to get results and she better play hard ball.

Ara is the victim of an assassination attempt. With Ara out of action and unable to steer course as the head of family, could the fabric of the family finally be disintegrating? Would Arno actually arrange a hit on his own brother? Zoe tasks Chris with keeping everyone calm. Fingers are pointed, but the true identity of Ara's shooter is a surprise to everyone...

Yurik is set to announce his successor - Ara and Arno are both convinced it will be them and tensions are high. En route to a big family meet, Chris runs over an older gentleman who just happens to the big boss himself, Yurik. Panicking, Chris bundles him in the car boot to deal with later - only to discover that Zoe has been caught and ends up in the gun-toting clutches of the Sarkisians.
