A gruesome murder with religious overtones shakes the small town of Norrbacka, Sweden. The victim: a British man from the small town of St Ives.

The local priest gives them their first lead. The victim visited a certain Björn Arnesen's grave before being brutally murdered. What is the connection between Colin and Björn?

Tom and Sophie decide to question everyone who attended the language course. The richest man in town seems to have something to hide. Åke Klint, a participant from the language course, seems to have gone insane.

A new suspect is on the table, Åke the tramp. But Åke is nowhere to be found. Meanwhile, Tom continues questioning Kristina’s mother. Something seems to be in the air... something forbidden.

The case has gone stale. Tom and Sophie travel to St Ives, England, to question the victim’s widow. She leads them to the seedy underbelly of St Ives: a strip club.
