McLeod's Daughters

Sally and her baby move into Wilgul with the help of Nick and Tess, who are trying to keep a sense of normality about the whole situation. Tess has to head back to Drovers Run to take part in a muster, which ultimately reminds her more of her and Nick's own separation. Meanwhile, Alex and Dave are concerned about Harry's state of mind since Sandra left.

All the women of Drovers Run plan take on the big boys of the sheep industry at the annual Wool Board Expo, and Tess especially has thrown herself into various preparations to keep her mind off Sally and baby Harrison. As Nick's web of lies about Sally and the baby come undone, Tess is forced to make her feelings clear.

Meg heads home early from the city in hopes she can be of some comfort to Tess during her time out with Nick. But Meg has little success getting Tess to open up. Jodi continues to be head over heels for Luke and her life-goals seem to have changed so that they all revolve around him. Meanwhile, Stevie and Alex conspire to try to get Nick and Tess back together.

The stubborn side of Dave is exposed when he finds an injured horse and believes he has found a descendent, a Waler, of the first settlement horses. Meanwhile, Jodi's life is in a downward spiral as her continued absences from work force Stevie to fire her, and her personal life takes a hit too. Meg and Terry realise they've been too busy embracing change to give their relationship time.

Harry is secretly thrilled when he hears Sandra is back in town, however, their initial meeting doesn't go well when they aren't capable of confessing their love. Meanwhile, Kate tries to convince Stevie to reinstate Jodi, but Stevie won't budge unless Jodi admits she's wrong, and Jodi won't return unless Stevie asks her.

Incapacitated by an injured foot, a bored Stevie has become addicted to the two-way radio, which causes her to get involved in with a mystery man. Meanwhile, Sandra offers Kate a farm manager's job. Drag racing and unemployment continue to bring Jodi problems when Luke makes a bet with Dawson that could win him a date with Jodi.

The women of Drovers Run are no longer a team of four. Kate is now working with Sandra as an overseer at Kinsella's. Jodi has gone into business for herself, selling cosmetics, and the work is tough. Tess and Stevie are managing alone, but only just after a questionable cattle sale Kate ends up upset at having inadvertently cheated her friends, but Sandra tells her it's just business.

When Kate organises a reunion of the high school hiking club, she isn't prepared for the old feelings it's about to stir up. For Jodi, the reunion is fraught with tension as she faces her old rival, Natalie, and she ends up introducing Luke as the local mechanic, rather than as her boyfriend. For Tess and Nick, the arrival of Sally to take Harrison home brings mixed feelings.

When Harry suffers a stroke, he reconsiders his plans for Killarney and he makes it clear that he favours Nick over Alex. In his frustration, Alex approaches Jodi to parade his new bull at the Gungellan Agricultural Show, which is something she has dreamed of. Meg decides to throw her hat into the political ring, but her stance on transportation causes her to hit an unexpected snag.

Nick discovers that Harry's heart condition could be quite serious and he goes into denial. Helping Tess with the hay, he works recklessly and has a frightful accident with the hay bales. Meanwhile, the women of Drovers Run win the lottery but their ticket continues to stay just out of their reach. When cattle from Drovers go missing at Killarney, Alex suspects Sandra is responsible.

Will Hamilton, an old boyfriend from Stevie's school days in Broken Hill shows up at Drovers Run. He is also the father of Rose, a daughter he has no idea exists. Will is at first shocked to learn he is a father but delights Stevie by wanting to know all about their daughter. Meanwhile, Terry leaves Luke in charge of the truck stop, but Luke may be in over his head.

In trouble again, Luke promises a concerned Jodi that he will extricate himself from the criminal's grasp, but his problems only escalate. Stevie urges Jodi to distance herself from Luke, but Jodi needs to give him one final chance. She rushes to the truck stop and is shattered to discover drugs hidden in Luke's wardrobe. Meanwhile, Dave, Nick, and Tess learn a lesson in money management.

Tess's other cousin, Regan, visits Drovers Run and causes a few problems. Ultimately, Stevie must rely on Regan's help to escape a life-threatening farm accident and Regan must face her fears to save Stevie. Dave falls for Regan, which puts Regan into Kate's very bad books. Meanwhile, Jodi is still reeling from Luke's arrest, and her moping is starting to drive Kate crazy.

Dave and Regan's flirtation steps up a level when Dave offers to help cure her of her animal phobia. As they fall for each other, Kate realises Regan has a secret she'll do anything to protect. Meanwhile, Stevie tries to impress Tess by re-capturing her horse Phoenix. Tess' relationship with Regan isn't her only worry, as Nick has started to over-work during the day and sleepwalk at night.

Tess learns Nick has been offered a job in Argentina and she makes the difficult decision that they will go overseas for six months. Meanwhile, Stevie takes care of Charlotte for the afternoon, but when the child goes missing, she turns Drovers Run upside down to find her. As Dave and Regan's romance blossoms, Kate is devastated. Jodi tries to cheer her up with a facial that goes awry.

Things are in a state of flux, if not panic, with the imminent departure of Tess and Nick. Stevie is now in charge, and she decides Kate and Jodi need to sort out who's going to take on her old overseer's job. Regan blindsides everyone when she announces her plans to dig up the land in search of gold. Meanwhile, Kate takes more of Jodi's advice and attempts to make Dave jealous.

When Regan starts the process to mine Drovers Run, the other women put up a fight and vow to stop her. Meanwhile, Rob clashes with Sandra over farm equipment and Dave finds that his involvement with Regan is not making him any friends. As the fight against Regan continues, Tess comes around to Stevie's direct action approach, whether it is legal or not.

Today is Harry's birthday and he's in a foul mood. Alex is stuck giving Sandra a lift to Gungellan so that she can get to an appointment. Kate tries to avoid Dave during a birdcall competition, but he makes it difficult. Jodi's interest in Rob, Killarney's new manager, continues to grow. Stevie, on the other hand, as the new manager at Drovers Run, finds herself at odds with him.

Kate's grandmother comes for a visit and Kate is in hot water because her grandmother believes that she's engaged to Dave and she runs Drovers Run. While Kate creates an elaborate hoax in her desperation to keep up the facade, it is her grandmother who has the most surprising confessions to make. Meanwhile, Jodi throws a murder mystery party and tries to avoid her growing interest in Rob.

Harry buys the truck stop and appoints Moira as manager, leaving Terry as a lowly mechanic. The approach of a raging dust storm adds to the troubles at Drovers Run and Stevie struggles to save the life of Tess's horse Oscar. Meanwhile, Rob's secrets are on the verge of being exposed when he is recognised by a delivery man, causing him to contemplate moving on.

Stevie borrows a water pump but leaves without the right hose when she learns that Alex won't be taking her to the ball. The wrong hose causes a tank to fill with toxic gas, and Alex shows up to help, but he is overcome by the fumes. Stevie puts her life at risk when she climbs in to save him. Meanwhile, notes about Jodi have Meg worrying that there is something she's not telling her daughter.

Stevie locks horns with Sandra during a drought but later helps her through a personal crisis, which temporarily eases tensions between them. Meanwhile, Jodi sneaks around to try and confirm her suspicion that Rob is gay. When Alex spends the day with Charlotte, he learns some surprising information about Rob based on how he interacts with the young girl.

Stevie thrilled at the prospect of a visit from Rose but things sour when Stevie's sister Michelle arrives with her. Protective of her adopted daughter, Michelle doesn't want the usually rash Stevie to take matters into her own hands and tell Rose the truth about who her real mother is. Meanwhile, Rob learns that Jodi thinks he's gay and decides to have a little fun with her.

Caught off guard when Rose discovers a baby's hospital bracelet, Stevie tells a half-truth: she did have a baby, but she put it up for adoption. Rose finds out the whole truth and takes off in the ute, accidentally reversing into the cattle yard gates. Meanwhile, Jodi is forced to spend the day with Rob transporting cattle. Kate, Meg, and Dave have to bring in the cattle when they get lost.
