Ultimate Adventure Week

The group loads up and follows leader Rick Pewe to the Nebraska Sand Hills and a 3-foot water crossing. Fred Williams tags along with his 1990 Dodge truck, prepped to tow out any stragglers.

The crew recovers from a hard off-road day and heads to their first campsite in Dubuque, Iowa, where they find 200 acres of forested patches and pastures with rain-slick, sloppy trails.

Rolling out of Iowa, the crew finds plenty of action with a flowing creek and slick hill climbs in Smithfield, Illinois. After slinging some muck, they find another challenge with more grade, more rocks and less-greasy mud.

The crew is ready for a trail day of steep climbs and slick mud in Pike County, Illinois. They tackle rocky boulders and a creek crawl, then end with an obstacle known as the "Can Opener."

Back on dry land after days of mud and muck, the group encounters a rocky riverbed and some nasty obstacles on the final day of adventure at Flat Nasty Off-Road Park in Missouri.
