On a routine adjust on a burnt-out factory, Lorimer finds a factory owner dead. Mr Hogg tells Lorimer to sort it out quickly – he’s got enough on his plate with the arrival of their odious new colleague.

Lorimer gets the number of the actress from the commercial, Flavia Malinverno, and plucks up the courage to phone her.

Lorimer’s life rapidly spirals out of control with personal tragedies, Mr. Hogg's paranoia and Flavia seems as unattainable as ever.
